Three Ways to Wear: ASOS Curve Slip Dress

Y’all know I love my millennial pink & lately I’ve become obsessed with slip dresses, so when this beauty arrived on ASOS it didn’t take long for it to appear in my basket.

The main reason I can’t get enough of camisole dresses is that they’re just so easy to wear – no matter how you accessorise them they always have a sense of understated style. They’re also perfect for the weather we’ve been having lately because they’re super lightweight & airy.

Despite the recent heatwave, there have still been a couple of cooler days & pairing a cami dress with a hoodie & leather jacket is a perfect way to stay warm while giving the slip dress a more casual vibe. I love how the all-black accessories toughen up what is quite a feminine dress, while still tying in with the black details in the print. However, with a dress that doesn’t have those darker colours I’d probably opt for softer colours to avoid there being too much contrast.

I can’t stop making heart eyes at this sweater. It’s super simple but the fine knit means it drapes beautifully, & the ribbed detail on the waist & arms keep it from looking dull. I sized up to a UK24 because I’m always a little skeptical of how over-sized “over-sized” items will actually be, but the UK22 would have still worked & might actually have been better as the sleeve length on this sweater is wild. This look is the total encapsulation of the flirty but cosy style I love, & it would be perfect for a chilled date night.

The colours in this dress make it the perfect Spring/Summer wedding guest look. I chose to accessorise with pinks & lilacs, but you could definitely draw on some of the other colours – both dove grey & coral would look incredible. Because the dress is a woven polyester, it’s lightweight without looking cheap & is much less high maintenance than silk, meaning no stress if you spill prosecco & dribble strawberry juice on it.

I love all three of these looks but let me know in the comments below, or on Twitter and Instagram, which look was your favourite.
