This post features an item which was gifted to me by Navabi. As always, all thoughts are my own.
Navabi have been killing the plus size fashion game lately with collections that perfectly balance timeless pieces with fashion-forward style, so I’m really excited to be collaborating with them on this post showcasing their Spring/Summer collection.
If you like this look, make sure you’re following me on Twitter as I’ll be hosting a little contest for you to win the piece featured below.
When I was asked which of the pieces from the new collection I’d like to try out this paint-effect long-line blouse instantly sprang to mind. I’m normally a monochrome girl but after London Fashion Week I’d seen a lot of mustard & ochre shades floating around, so figured it was time to push my boundaries & I’m so glad I did.
I love the way the colours blend together, creating a soft colour block effect, & while I was initially concerned that the fabric would be heavy, it’s actually the perfect weight to drape beautifully. I’m wearing a UK24 & it fits comfortably – I probably could have sized down but I like a looser fit, & sizing up has given me enough extra length to wear the blouse as a dress as well as a shirt.
I’m also really impressed by the quality of the blouse. It’s no secret that most of Navabi’s pieces are more pricey than your average high-street store, but little details like the stitching & the way the blouse is gently shaped make you feel like you’re getting value for money.
I wear shirts almost everyday for work but at the weekend I love to tie them at the waist for a more casual vibe & this blouse lends itself to that perfectly, especially with the loose, artsy print.
If you fancy winning this super versatile long-line blouse, all you need to do is head over to my Twitter & retweet my pinned tweet (make sure you’re following myself & Navabi too). The contest closes in two weeks & the winner will receive the blouse, in a size of their choice, directly from Navabi.
