Spoilers, I’m still totally in love with this fucking advent calendar.
December 7th: Aromatherapy Associates Candle
Weirdly, since moving into our own place together my boyfriend & I have got into candles. I mean, really into candles. I snap up Yankee candles whenever they’re on offer, & I’ve also been a big fan of the Glade Winter range this year. The scent on this one is a little softer than our usual picks, but it was a nice change & the frosted glass container is really beautiful.
December 8th: Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but I’m super impressed by the generous sized sample, & I think the idea behind the product is certainly an interesting one. Essentially it’s a conditioner which you use before shampoo to prevent breakage during the shampooing process & also to boost your hair’s hydration without weighing it down. I’m constantly on the hunt for something to give my hair that glossy shine without completely flattening my roots, so this could be a winner.
December 9th: Teeez Desert Metals Mascara
I’m a bit torn on this one. I can’t decide whether the packaging is great or tacky as hell, & while the tapered brush is great for getting right into your outer lashes, it’s just not that volumising. A great back-up mascara but not mind blowing.
